ENCOUNTER WITH GOD - SEMINAR

The excitement of the Seminar on Discipleship overflowed on these two days of “Encounter with God” seminar which was held on 15th & 16th of July 2009. As it was open to all the church members we had a staggering number of people who attended, overall around 270 people came for the seminar on each day. We had to conduct separate sessions for the Hindi folks as they were not able to fully understand English language around 40 people attended the Hindi sessions.

It was a time of getting oneself cleansed by the blood of Jesus and drawing near to our God the Father, it was also a time of forgiving and receiving forgiveness from God and sensing a tremendous outpouring of God’s love into our hearts through the Holy Spirit as they symbolically wore the ropes of righteousness, ring of authority and sandals of dignity
Pastor Tim with along with all the other team members shared excellently from the word of God thus bringing much clarity and understandings of how incidents of the past can hold us back from receiving God’s abundant blessing in our lives today.

The second day sessions on the power of the cross was powerful as many literally felt they are nailing all their past failures and sins at the feet of the cross.
The teaching on forgiveness and repentance also blessed many to draw near to God and to one another. The meetings ended by presenting certificates to each individuals who attended the seminar.
We thank God for bringing Pastor Timothy and his wife Laurie along with Pastor Allen and his wife Grace all the way from Kuwait to Goa to bless the church here.
Last but not the least we thank God for Agnel and Aban for their initiative in making this encounter happen.

MULTIPLICATION THROUGH DISCIPLESHIP

It was a time great excitement and a time of learning, as Pastor Timothy and his wife Laurie along with Pastor Allan and his wife Grace ministered to us from the word of God.
It was a time of feasting on the word of God as around One hundred and forty pastors and leaders from Goa, Maharashtra and Karnataka attended the seminar. This seminar was held in the capital city of Goa, Panjim on 13th&14th of July 2009.

Pastor Tim and Pastor Allan shared on the importance of discipling and the sacrificial ways and the means it takes to carry on with the process of making disciples. The personal experiences shared by Pastor Tim and Pastor Allan enabled many to connect the current challenges they are facing and how to overcome the same.
The uniqness about this seminar was that the teachings were well demonstrated through games and collective activities thus enabling to get and first hand experience of team work and co-ordination by the Pastors and leaders who attended the seminar.

It also a good time of fellowship and a time of blending of different cultures…. Thus showing us a glimpse of how heaven looks like.
In the last session many genuine queries were answered as it was a time of question and answer.
In the end many pastors and leaders resolved in their hearts to fulfill the Great Commission which Jesus commanded “to go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them and teaching them to obey all that Jesus commanded”
